			<description>When I was a child, I tiptoed 

with open arms to you for a hug,

and you gave me a teddy bear instead,

When I needed your attention most 

and was almost in tears,

you bought me lots of toys to cheer me.

The TV, video and cartoons gradually took your place.

They became my entertainer and parent.

The only time I spent with you was in the car 

to and from the baby sitter's place.



There were times when both of us 

were either too tired or sleepy,

and we sat there in cold silence.
